One of the things we love most about the Fringe, is the melting pot of creativity and the (over?)abundance of writers and artists who flood the city from all over the world!

One of those creatives is the brilliant Oliver Mol, author of LION ATTACK! and the stupendous memoir TRAIN LORD - which was a Guardian, Australian Book Review and Sydney Morning Herald book of the year. He's in town doing a stage adaptation Train Lord - his account of a 10month migraine and a job on the railway in Australia - and we can't wait to see how he has done it!

TRAIN LORD live show will be at theSpaceUK from 4 -12 AUG at 19.20 (tickets here) and to get a flavour of the man and the books that have shaped him he has picked out for us his five favourite books that have ever been written:

  1. The Sheltering Sky, Paul Bowles
  2. Two Serious Ladies by Jane Bowles
  3. Train Dreams, Denis Johnson
  4. Last Evenings on Earth, Roberto Bolaño
  5. The Summer Book, Tove Jansson

Watch him explain his take on each of them in the video here:
