The Big Book of Festivals

A book that encourages us all to enjoy what we do have, live in the moment, and educate ourselves about all the wonderful festivals, celebrations and festivities that go on around the world. The artwork is colourful, quirky, accessible and the intention is wonderful - celebrating celebrations.

The book introduces children to over 20 festivals from around the world, from the Indian 'Diwali' Festival of Light, through to the Italian 'La Tomatina' tomato-throwing festival to the more obscure Belgian 'Festival of Giants'. Two fully illustrated pages are devoted to each festival, and every spread is packed with fun, well-researched facts. Liz Rowland's detailed and charming illustrations enrich the text and showcase the value of diversity.
