The Radical Book Fair is Scotland’s leading alternative political & literary festival; it was launched by Wole Soyinka in 1996 and has been running for over 20 years.
4 DAYS, 20 EVENTS, STALLS representing over 50 publishers, indie authors and artists - entirely organised by the booksellers at Lighthouse!
The RBF showcases a huge variety of publishers and speakers, exposing readers to new and diverse voices, and offering a real flavour of radical and independent publishing. The 2018 fair focused on (re)discovering and reclaiming our radical histories to arm ourselves to change the future.
The RBF is open to browse daily, it is free to visit and event places are either free, or by donation.
The venue is the Assembly Roxy on Roxburgh place, it is fully wheelchair accessible including the gender neutral toilets. Stim toys & a breakout space will be available. All events will have seating & speakers will use microphones.
