Robin Ince! Taking us on adventures in scientific curiosity

Featured Speakers

Robin Ince

Robin Ince has interviewed astronauts, comedians, teachers, quantum physicists, neuroscientists and more - Every year he meets hundreds of the world's greatest thinkers and chats to them for his hugely succesful podcast.

Robin Ince is himself many things. A comedian, an author, a broadcaster and a populariser of scientific ideas. The Guardian once declared him a ‘becardiganed polymath’ which seems about right.

He is also a lovely human AND he has a new book out, so he's dropping in for a mini lunchtime event to tell us all about it / be grilled by you lot about it!

His book The Importance of Being Interested explores why many wrongly think of the discipline as distant and difficult. From the glorious appeal of the stars above to why scientific curiosity can encourage much needed intellectual humility, this optimistic and profound book will leave you filled with a thirst for intellectual adventure!

The event will be taking place in the bookshop - we will be social distancing and have windows open (so dress warm) and masks will be required - if you're still nervous about entering a relatively small space with many other humans you can also watch online!

Check out Robin Ince's favourite books to spark curiosity!
