This workshop explores how activism and action in Scotland can reflect climate justice values and build the change we need.

Climate justice is the call from the global south, demanding for equitable and fair action on climate change. In this space, we will explore how activism and action in Scotland can reflect climate justice values and build the change we need.

Expect explorations of how intersectionality, decoloniality and social justice - the foundations of climate justice - can be practised in and by your local communities.

From repair culture to food & land justice, local community activists discuss how their work directly impacts climate justice. Join in the conversation, share your work, and learn from some of the folks who are working behind-the-scenes to change our planet for the better.

This workshop will be led by local climate justice and anticoloniality activist, Nish Doshi.

This event is part of Edinburgh’s 23rd Independent & Radical Book Fair, which runs from the 14th-17th November 2019. Please follow the link for details of accessibility as well as the bookshop’s safer spaces policy.
