A BIG BI BOOK LAUNCH!

Friday, Jul 19 2019
17:45 - 19:00
The editors and authors of The Bi-ble
location: Dovecot Studios

Book places here.

**This event is fully wheelchair accessible, there will be BSL interpretation, it will start at 6pm sharp.**

Bisexuals are often the most invisible of the sexualities, but not at this event. Join us on 19th of July at Dovecot Studios for an evening of bivisibility and in celebration of launching Monstrous Regiment’s New Testimonials – a follow up to our popular bisexual anthology The Bi-ble (which has just been rereleased and will be available on the night!)

Readings will take place from both volumes of the anthology by Chitra Ramaswamy and Sandra Alland. A panel discussion and Q&A with the authors and editors (including Jessica Brough, Vaneet Mehta, Lauren Nickodemus, and more) will investigate the issues that are most pressing to the bisexual+ community in 2019. It will also discuss the ways publications can be used to platform an often erased identity and how we can best demand better representations of bisexuals in the arts and media.

Several authors will be available for signings and chat afterwards, and as always, we we’ll have a very bisexual friendly social afterwards!

Coming along? Let us know @monstrousrgmt.

Accessibility: The Ladies Baths is our venue at Dovecot Studios - it is wheelchair accessible, and the event is taking place on the first floor, reachable with an elevator a short distance from the front entrance. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet on the same level as the event room. The audience will be seated and speakers will be using microphones throughout. It will also be BSL interpreted by a member of the Deaf Association.

For full details of access provisions please click HERE.

We have 15 free tickets for this event and would love to see as many along as possible - Free places are intended to make the evening accesible to those who are unwaged/ on benefits/ might not otherwise be able to attend - If you can afford a £5 ticket please book one as this will help us cover the costs of the event and allows us to save free places for those who can’t, thanks!

The Bookshop operates a Safe Space Policy which all guests and speakers are asked to respect - you can read it HERE.
